Using her voice to advocate for children and families affected by childhood cancer
"Our world was forever changed the day my daughter, Alina, was diagnosed with an aggressive and deadly form of pediatric leukemia. She fought for just over a year before she left this world, 11 months ago, at the tender age of 2. Alina is truly my motivation, and her journey has inspired me in ways I never imagined—teaching me not only what it means to be a mother but also helping me understand the true value of life. In the midst of my grief, Alina has shown me how to use my voice for causes that matter such as advocating for children and families affected by childhood cancer. In her honor, we host toy drives and provide treats to children and families receiving care in the hospital. Alina lives on in all that we do, and we will continue to share her love, story and mission
through the Alina Jade Foundation. Joining POETIC alongside researchers, oncologists and other individuals impacted by childhood cancer will allow her light to continue to shine through our efforts to support others in their journeys."
