Dr. Boklan received her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University and her Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine. After completing a residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, she did her fellowship training in pediatric hematology-oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York Hospital. Dr. Boklan now works at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she serves as the Director of Clinical Research at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Director of the Early Drug Development Program, Director of the Bone Marrow Failure Program, and Co-Director of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Program.  Dr. Boklan’s clinical interests include caring for patients with leukemia, sub-specializing in myeloid leukemias. She is active in developing clinical trials using novel therapeutics for patient who do not respond to standard available treatments. In addition to leukemia, Dr. Boklan specializes in bone marrow failure syndromes, including uncovering inherited genetic predispositions.
