Supporting the renewal of health, hope, and happiness to children battling cancer again

Our story

PROVIDING THE RESOURCES NEEDED TO THOSE WHO NEED IT

It takes the right resources to foster innovation and advancement, especially in cancer research.

The POETIC Foundation was created to help fund the teams and institutions that need it most, so they can discover new cancer fighting technologies and treatments.

Our mission is to support the Pediatric Oncology Experimental Therapeutics Investigators’ Consortium (POETIC) and promote the early clinical development of promising therapies for the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and related disorders.

What we do

DEDICATED TO FIGHTING CHILDHOOD CANCER

The POETIC Foundation’s efforts are dedicated to the mission of increasing the availability of new and precise therapies for pediatric cancer patients. We focus on areas of interest that make the most impact in pediatric cancer research.
Research

We support cancer research through programs, such as the Translational Genomics Program, that are finding ways to improve outcomes for children with the worst prognosis with precision medicine.

Clinical trials

We help provide early access to potentially curative therapies through promising clinical trials that could give sick children the best chance to fight their disease.

International efforts

We sponsor various cancer fighting efforts in hopes to provide quality cancer care to underserved children worldwide.

Who we are

DEDICATED TO HELPING OTHERS

Our board members are leading professionals in their respective industries, including finance, law, business, and healthcare. They bring their vast knowledge and expertise together to help guide the Foundation closer to its mission.

Founders

LEADING WITH HOPE

The Co-Founders, Dr. Tanya Trippett and Joan Werner, created The POETIC Foundation, Inc. in order to increase the awareness of the challenges and disparities in cancer care that children with recurrent cancer face compared to their adult counterparts.

Partners

SUPPORTING THE WORK OF LEADING INSTITUTIONS IN CANCER RESEARCH

We take our mission to cure childhood cancers very seriously.  That’s why we partner with top institutions in cancer research. The POETIC Foundation has already helped bring together the great minds and resources of ten large North American academic medical centers. Each institution is dedicated to finding new treatment options and are suited to complete early studies in pediatric populations.

Donors

HELPING PARTNERS

We would like to acknowledge the institutional support that POETIC has received from its member institutions and collaborators. Each member institution has provided personal, financial, and time resources that have allowed POETIC to accomplish its mission. We are grateful.

We are also indebted and grateful to our benefactors and the parents of children with cancer who have made The POETIC Foundation possible. Our work is to honor them and those they represent.
