LEADING WITH HOPE
The Co-Founders, Dr. Tanya Trippett and Joan Werner, created The POETIC Foundation, Inc. in order to increase the awareness of the challenges and disparities in cancer care that children with recurrent cancer face compared to their adult counterparts.
Joan Werner utilized her skills and network in investment and finance on Wall Street and One Hundred Women in Finance to help guide Dr. Trippett in forming the Foundation. Through the legal guidance of the Pro Bono Division of Schulte, Roth and Zabel in New York and Anthony Bisignano, Esquire, the organization was established and continues to thrive.
“It’s our responsibility to better understand the complexity of childhood cancers and to leverage this knowledge, coupled with compassion, to bring hope by creation of a roadmap that leads to discovery and a cure for each child with cancer.”
Joan helped launch the POETIC Foundation by using her expertise and network in finance and investment.
