Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Arkansas Children's Hospital
Dr. Kevin Bielamowicz received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Education from the University of Texas at Austin. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He completed a pediatric residency at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)/Arkansas Children’s Hospital followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital. He also completed a neuro-oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Bielamowicz joined the faculty at UAMS/Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 2016. He is an Assistant Professor in the section of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and holds dual board certification in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology. He serves as the medical director of the Brain Tumor Clinic and is the Director of the Innovative Cancer Therapeutics Program. His clinical and research interests include clinical trials for disease groups such as pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors, neuroblastoma, and histiocytic diseases. He is involved in clinical trial design and implementation through several national and international consortia including the Beat Childhood Cancer Consortium, Pediatric Oncology Experimental Therapeutics Investigators Consortium (POETIC), the Southern Neuro-Oncology Consortium (SoPNOC), and the North American Consortium for Histiocytosis (NACHO).
